From the kitchen
The menu changes with the day and the season. At lunch there is a fixed-price workers’ menu; in the evening and at weekends the traditional Piedmontese dishes come out.
Carne cruda
Hand-chopped raw veal with young salad leaves, carrot and shaved cheese. A Piedmontese classic.
House antipasti
Crostini with green sauce, tomini cheese, vitello tonnato: the mixed antipasto is the way to start.
Tagliolini with porcini
Thin egg pasta with a porcini mushroom sauce. One of the dishes regulars mention most.
Cured meat board
Salame, prosciutto and pickled vegetables with bread. For sharing, ideally with a glass of red.
King prawns
Not only meat: when there is fish, grilled king prawns, fritto misto and, sometimes, paella.
Tiramisù
Tiramisù or panna cotta to finish. With a candle on top, if you are celebrating.

The place
Outside, on the brick wall, hangs the hand-painted sign with the cooking pot: “Osteria Tripoli · Cucina tipica”. Inside: big tables, checked tablecloths and walls covered in paintings — a permanent exhibition that keeps you company over lunch.
It is family-run, and it shows: guests talk about friendly owners, quick service even when the room is full, and care for special needs, from coeliac guests to those who don’t eat meat.
In summer there are tables outside. There is ample parking right across the street.

After the Reggia, lunch
The Reggia di Venaria Reale — a UNESCO World Heritage royal residence of the House of Savoy — is about 2 km away, five minutes by car. Plenty of visitors end up here for lunch or dinner after the Galleria Grande and the gardens.
